The NVDC TEAM is an advanced training and competitive dance experience for those dancers who are self-motivated and driven. The NVDC TEAM currently consists of four competitive age tiers: Mini (ages 5-7), Junior (ages 8-9), Intermediate (ages 10-11) and Preteen/Teen/Senior (ages 12-19). Age does not always guarantee which tier dancers will be placed in, placement will ultimately be decided by the Director. In addition to their regular classes (four mandatory classes each week including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary and Acro), the NVDC TEAM has practice three hours a week with additional scheduled rehearsals on various weekends throughout the year.
The NVDC TEAM attends two dance conventions and four competitions a year. There are additional, but optional conventions and competitions offered throughout the year for dancers. The TEAM also performs at community events and in our annual recital, giving them 6 or more opportunities to perform each year. The NVDC TEAM is a year long commitment running from May-May each year.
The NVDC TEAM will hold auditions in April this year! The auditions will be held on Wednesday April 24th, and Friday April 26, 2024, and will be scheduled by age group. Auditions will be closed to viewers and kept confidential (each candidate will have a number and no photos will be allowed). Placement on the TEAM will be emailed out the week of April 29th.
In order to Audition, please register for the appropriate age group and time slot below. There is a $25 audition fee per dancer. If your dancer wishes to try out, but absolutely cannot attend their audition date and time, please email us to schedule a private or semi private audition.
