The NVDC TEAM is an advanced training and competitive dance experience for those dancers who are self-motivated and driven. The NVDC TEAM currently consists of four competitive age tiers: Mini (ages 6-7), Junior (ages 8-10), Intermediate/Preteen (ages 11-12) and Teen/Senior (ages 12-18). Age does not always guarantee which tier dancers will be placed in, placement will ultimately be decided by the Director. In addition to their regular classes (four mandatory classes each week including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary and Technique and Strength), the NVDC TEAM has practice three hours a week with additional scheduled rehearsals on various weekends throughout the year.
The NVDC TEAM attends two dance conventions and five competitions a year. There are additional, but optional conventions and competitions offered throughout the year for dancers. The TEAM also performs at community events and in our annual recital, giving them 7 or more opportunities to perform each year. The NVDC TEAM is a year long commitment running from June-June each year.
The NVDC TEAM will hold auditions in May this year! The auditions will be held on Wednesday May 14th, and will be scheduled by age group. Auditions will be closed to viewers and kept confidential (no photos will be allowed). Placement on the TEAM will be emailed out the week of May 26th.
In order to Audition, please register for the appropriate age group and time slot below. There is a $50 audition fee per dancer. If your dancer wishes to try out, but absolutely cannot attend their audition date and time, please email us to schedule a private or semi private audition.
